Mithila Malaviya.

Mithila Malaviya is a multidisciplinary creative working at the intersection of art, brand and human psychology. Educated at Paris College of Art and the School of Visual Arts, New York, she has mounted solo exhibitions across India, produced solo-shot documentary films that drove gallery sales, managed a fine-art estate in New York, and built brands from the ground up.

She is completing an MSc in Psychology at Coventry University — not as a change of direction, but as formal language for what her work has always been about: how people feel, and why.

She works across more than twenty disciplines, from painting and printmaking to film, poetry and dance, and exhibits exclusively under the name MaaKasam. She lives and works in Gurgaon.

Everything on this site, every painting, photograph, film, pattern and installation, was made by her alone: conceived, shot, directed, edited and finished without a crew or a studio team.

"I use myself as the levain for any project. Discovering or learning a medium during a project is a part of my process, and is as crucial as developing the idea itself."
