W.O.E., Waves of Emotion, is an ongoing series in oil and acrylic that MaaKasam began in 2019 and keeps returning to. Lines are pulled through wet paint in waves, layer over layer, across flat sheets, round boards, panels and canvas.

The series was shown solo in September 2021. That October, two of the works, No. 4 and No. 5, were shown in a group exhibition at SVA Chelsea Gallery, New York, curated by Suzanne Anker, 21 October to 5 November 2021.
